Headquartered in Bangalore, with branches across Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, and Mumbai, we specialize in providing end-to-end IT infrastructure solutions — from cabling and data centres to cloud, storage, and GenAI.We are a zero-debt, financially strong organization, known for our steady and sustainable growth over the years. Frontier partners with global technology leaders such as HPE, Dell, Apple, NVIDIA, Nutanix, and Cisco to deliver cutting-edge solutions to clients. Our culture is open, transparent, and collaborative — built on integrity, honesty, and performance. With rapid expansion in AI, cloud, and hybrid IT, this is an exciting time to be part of Frontier’s growth story.

Role Overview (What makes the role unique)

You will work as a Cloud Solution Architect, focusing on designing practical, secure, and cost‑effective solutions on cloud platforms, with AWS as the primary environment and exposure to Azure and GCP as a strong advantage. You will collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into architectures that balance reliability, cost, security, and delivery timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Engage with stakeholders to understand business goals, technical constraints, and migration drivers, and translate them into cloud solution architectures and roadmaps.
  2. Design and document cloud infrastructure covering networking, compute, storage, identity, and security controls, primarily on AWS, with the ability to map patterns to Azure and GCP where required.
  3. Define and implement architectures for databases, ETL and data pipelines, backup and recovery, and high availability based on workload needs and operational capabilities.
  4. Integrate observability (logging, metrics, tracing, alerts) into solutions, ensuring production systems are monitorable, supportable, and aligned with SRE and operations practices.
  5. Work with DevOps and engineering teams to shape CI/CD, infrastructure as code, environment strategy, and release practices that support the proposed architectures.
  6. Incorporate security by design, including IAM, network segregation, secrets management, encryption, and compliance considerations, and collaborate with security teams on reviews.
  7. Support application and infrastructure migration programs, including assessment, target‑state design, migration waves, and cutover strategies for on‑prem to cloud and cross‑cloud moves.
  8. Perform TCO, ROI, and pricing analysis for proposed solutions, compare offerings across CSPs, and present clear trade‑offs and benefit analyses to stakeholders.
  9. Produce architecture documents, diagrams, decision records, and operational handover materials that are understandable to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
  10. Provide guidance during implementation, code and design reviews, and troubleshooting, ensuring delivered solutions remain aligned with the agreed architecture.

Required Skills & Experience

  1. Hands‑on architecture and design experience on at least one major cloud provider, with AWS as the primary platform for infrastructure, networking, storage, and managed services.
  2. Practical knowledge of Azure and/or GCP services, especially where equivalents to core AWS services are needed for multi‑cloud design or vendor comparison.
  3. Strong understanding of virtual networking concepts, such as VPCs, subnets, routing, firewalls, VPNs, peering, and connectivity back to on‑premises or other clouds.
  4. Experience working with Linux and Windows server environments, including basic administration, deployment patterns, and integration with cloud‑native services.
  5. Exposure to RDBMS and NoSQL databases and data platforms, with the ability to select and justify suitable services and patterns for OLTP, analytics, and ETL workloads.
  6. Familiarity with ETL and data integration tools or services and how they fit into batch and near‑real‑time data pipelines in the cloud.
  7. Experience with DevOps practices such as CI/CD, infrastructure as code, configuration management, and automated testing in cloud environments.
  8. Working knowledge of observability practices and tools, including centralised logging, metrics, traces, dashboards, and alerting for distributed systems.
  9. Good understanding of cloud security fundamentals, including IAM, network security, encryption, vulnerability management, and secure configuration baselines.
  10. Ability to estimate and model cloud costs, perform TCO and ROI analysis, and use pricing tools to compare deployment options and CSPs in a way that is understandable to business stakeholders.
  11. Comfortable facilitating technical discussions, explaining trade‑offs, and documenting decisions in a clear and structured manner.

Preferred Skills

  1. Experience contributing to or leading specific migration initiatives (re‑host, re‑platform, or re‑architect) from on‑premises or between cloud providers.
  2. Exposure to SRE practices, including reliability targets, incident management, and capacity planning in cloud environments.
  3. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration platforms, and how they influence cloud architecture choices and cost models.
  4. Certifications from AWS, Azure, or GCP in architecture or related tracks that demonstrate structured understanding of platform capabilities.

What Makes the Role Unique (USP)

Opportunity to work on multi-cloud environments, enterprise-scale migrations, architecture strategy, cost optimization, and direct collaboration with business & technical stakeholders.

Tools / Technologies Used

AWS, Azure, GCP, Linux, Windows, CI/CD tools, Infrastructure as Code tools, Logging & Monitoring tools, Databases, ETL tools, Containers & Orchestration platforms.
